Boulders Beach is home to a breeding colony of penguins. Keep your eyes peeled, these endangered African penguins splash around in the ocean and waddle close to the walkways. They are entertaining and will give you more candid photo opportunities.
If the weather permits, we will drive along Chapmans Peak drive. This spectacular road is arguably one of South Africa’s most eye-catching stretches of road where we drive along a cliff, hacked out of the face of the mountain while the ocean waves break below.
The dramatic landscape of Cape Point, with its rugged rocks, cliffs and the stormy ocean, is a once in a lifetime experience. Did you know that the area is home to more than 250 bird species and free-roaming wildlife? Keep an eye open, you might be able to spot the Cape mountain zebra, eland, baboon and more. You have the option to take the Flying Dutchman funicular – named after the ghost ship – to see the old lighthouse and more views.
Don’t worry, we know that all this exploring will work up an appetite (and we know just the perfect spot where you can grab a bite to eat lunch).
Every road we take gives you another view of the beauty of Cape Town. And after all the excitement and exploring, we will make our way back to the city and your accommodation. If time permits, you can add another must-see Cape Town attraction to your itinerary.
*Route might change, depending on the weather.
still time, why not explore one of the best botanical gardens in the world? If you still have enough time and energy, we suggest you add Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden to your *itinerary.
After your tour, we will return to your accommodation, where you can freshen up before heading out for dinner.
*To add the Kirstenbosch stop is an additional R120 per person.
This tour will stretch along an estimated 150km of scenic drive with many refreshment stops, history and points of interest along the way
